9 Must-Visit Clearwater Beach Restaurants!

Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill

Long considered one of the best restaurants in Clearwater Beach and my personal favorite, Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill is famous for its mouthwatering eats and beautiful waterfront location.

This iconic restaurant has its own fleet of fishing boats, so you’re guaranteed the freshest seafood available.

Kick the sand off your feet, cool off with a cocktail, and order salads, soups, or an array of fabulous seafood.

You can’t go wrong with she-crab soup, conch fritters, garlic crab fries, and blackened grouper sandwiches.

If you have allergies, order from their gluten-free menu. This is also a great family-friendly restaurant with a kid’s menu.

✓ TIP: Frenchy’s has multiple locations, so if the wait at the beach is long, a different location could be quieter.

Jimmy’s On The Edge

If you need a chilled drink after a beach day or are looking for the perfect place for sunset views, consider Jimmy’s on the Edge.

This is the largest rooftop bar in Clearwater Beach, offering great views of the Gulf of Mexico alongside a selection of salads, sandwiches, bowls, and happy hour specials.

Try the red snapper bowl, snapper nuggets, and pulled pork nachos.

The firecracker shrimp, chili cheese fries, and spinach artichoke dip are also scrumptious. Youngsters can order from the kid’s menu.

Jimmy’s on the Edge is my favorite sunset dining spot in Clearwater Beach and will likely be yours too!

Palm Pavilion

Treat your taste buds to fresh fish and your ears to live music at the Palm Pavilion.

This great place is only a few steps from one of Florida’s most beautiful beaches.

With lovely views, large portions, and delectable food, what more could you ask for?

A few of the most popular dishes include the palm grouper sandwich, gator Bites, Cuban sandwich, cheeseburgers, and casual fare such as nachos.

This is one of the best Clearwater restaurants for a laid-back lunch or family outing. A kid’s menu is available

✓ TIP: If you love fishing and want to eat what you catch, you’ll need to go somewhere different.

Hop over to the Salt Cracker Fish Camp, and they’ll prepare it on the spot. Yum!

Crabby’s Dockside

Friendly staff and lip-smacking food await at Crabby’s Dockside.

This fun, casual eatery has three outdoor areas and an indoor area with air conditioning. 

Whether you’re looking for a full meal or some quick fare, this is one of the best Clearwater Beach restaurants.

Nab outdoor seating, people-watch, and enjoy a sweet-and-tart slice of Key lime pie.

The best things to order include fried alligator, coconut shrimp, fish and chips, and crab cakes. The French fries are always cooked to perfection.

✓ TIP: Taco Bus is another great spot for quick bites, only for authentic Mexican food.

If Mexican is what you’re after, Marina Cantina is another perfect spot with good food.

Badfin’s Food And Brew

Head to the Wyndham Grand Resort for some of the best seafood downtown Clearwater offers.

This local favorite’s patio seating provides fabulous views and a breezy ambiance.

Enjoy live music while flavors explode in your mouth. Try the trifecta dip, surf-n-turf tacos, chicken tacos, poke bowl, Mexican corn ribs, and high-quality vegan options.

✓ TIP: If you’d rather eat Asian fusion fare, check out Ocean Hai, which is also at the Wyndham Grand Hotel.

Salty’s Island Bar And Grille

Another excellent spot to check out is Salty’s Island Bar and Grille. Their offers include classic seafood and casual fare with toothsome twists.

Head over for a bowl of their breakfast gouda grits, a laid-back lunch, or a chill evening with live music.

Some crowd favorites include the shrimp ‘n grits, baked oysters, mahi mahi, and plantains fried to perfection.

This great spot is on S Gulfview Blvd near the Opal Sands Resort.

Island Way Grill

Seafood, wine, sushi, and an award-winning Sunday brunch distinguish Island Way Grill.

Their fishing boats bring fresh-caught grouper, Mahi, and snapper, which are seared in the kitchen’s oak-and-citrus-fired open pits.

Order blackened fish, bacon-wrapped scallops, sauteed lobster tails, crab bisque, coconut shrimp, or pork chops.

Their Sunday Brunch is a classy feast featuring french toast, eggs, waffles, shrimp skewers, baked scallops, halibut, a bloody mary bar, sushi, eggs benedict, fruit, salmon, desserts, and more.

It’s a perfect way to celebrate a special event or another week of life.

Choose the outdoor dining area for beautiful waterside tranquility.

Island Way Grill is next to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Reservations are recommended.

Bob Heilman’s Beachcomber

Go old school at Bob Heilman’s Beachcomber. This upscale restaurant is perfect for a tasty meal—plus an optional romantic evening with live piano music in the background.

As with most Clearwater Beach restaurants, seafood is the star of the show, but there are additional options such as West Coast pasta, impossible burgers, and lamb chops.

You can’t go wrong with the snapper, cod, scallops, or the Beachcomber Seafood Platter. For dessert, finish off with a baked Alaska.

✓ TIP: Another upscale restaurant not to miss is Caretta’s on the Gulf in the Sandpearl Resort.

Or, for casual dining in the same area, check out Tate Island Grill.

The Columbia Restaurant

If all these Clearwater Beach restaurant menus start sounding the same, head to The Columbia Restaurant on Sand Key. 

Enjoy seafood with a Cuban and Spanish flare in Columbia’s Mediterranean-themed dining room.

You won’t want to miss the 1905 salad, empanadas, Snapper a la Rusa, devil crab croquettes, pompano-stuffed shrimp, and stuffed salmon.

Get a pitcher of sangria or an El Pepito cocktail, and you’ll be set.
